The party size is determined by the amount of [[charisma]] you have (''Total charisma − 1'' = Number of [[Player]]s or [[followers]] that can be transported at once). Every member of the group takes up one party slot, including the party leader himself. If you have a [[Brahmin]] follower, it takes a slot. If you leave that cow somewhere, it is still a follower of yours but is no longer taking up a slot until you tell it to follow you again.
